“He is someone of great power who is hindering the advance of the Antichrist and preventing the satanic kingdom from overwhelming the world.”

In his second epistle to the Thessalonians, Paul assured the church that they were not yet living in the Day of the Lord, that is, the end times’ judgment had not yet begun. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3 he says, “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.”

According to God’s timetable, the Day of the Lord and the accompanying judgment will not start until two things happen: a global rebellion occurs and the Antichrist is revealed. Paul then mentions what is currently keeping the evil in check: “And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed” (verses 6–8).

Second Thessalonians 2 is clear that the removal of the restrainer’s influence precedes the revealing of the Antichrist. Given free rein during the tribulation, the lawless one will “use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders” to deceive the people of the earth (verses 9–10). After the Antichrist’s time is up, the Lord Jesus will return and overthrow the man of sin by “the breath of his mouth and destroy [him] by the splendor of his coming” Evil is restrained right now; once the Church Age ends, the hindrance to evil will be removed, and the rebellion will seem to be winning; however, the ultimate doom of evil is sure.

The tribulation is a future seven-year period when God will finish His discipline of Israel and finalize His judgment of the unbelieving world. The church, comprised of all who have trusted in the person and work of the Lord Jesus, will not be present during the tribulation. The church will be removed from the earth in an event called the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; 1 Corinthians 15:51–53). In this way, the church is saved from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

Throughout Scripture, the tribulation is associated with the day of the Lord, that time during which God personally intervenes in history to accomplish His plan (see Isaiah 2:12; 13:6–9; Joel 1:15; 2:1–31; 3:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:2). It is referred to as “tribulation . . .

“That day will be a day of wrath a day of distress and anguish, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness a day of trumpet and battle cry” (Zephaniah 1:15–16).

The tribulation will be marked by various divine judgments, celestial disturbances, natural disasters, and terrible plagues (see Revelation 6—16). In His mercy, God sets a limit on the duration of the tribulation. As Jesus said, “Those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now and never to be equaled again. If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive” (Mark 13:19–20).

Why Is Pre-trib Rapture Hated So Much?

I did this video to give some suggestions as to why the Pre-tribulation Rapture is hated so much. The Pre-trib Rapture is Bible truth. It is not a new doctrine that a Jesuit priest or a woman came up with in the 1800’s. It is in the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Jesus Christ promised an escape from God’s wrath to those who belong to Him. He is not a liar. If we keep our promise to Him, He will keep His to us. He repeatedly said to watch and be ready. Who would benefit if there is no Pre-trib Rapture? The devil. Satan knows that his days are numbered. He wants as many Christians as he can get to go thru the Tribulation period with him to persecute them and to have more chances to drag them to hell with himself. Belief in the Pre-trib Rapture is not mandatory to get to heaven, but why go thru the Tribulation period when Jesus Christ has made a way of escape?

The End Times in Chronological Order and Rapture of the Church

Major end-times themes: the rapture, the tribulation, the millennial kingdom, and the eternal state.

1. The rapture of the church. Christ comes in the clouds to “snatch away” all those who trust in Him (1 Corinthians 15:52). At this same time, the “dead in Christ” will be resurrected and taken to heaven, too. From our perspective today, this is the next event in the eschatological timeline. The rapture is imminent; no other biblical prophecy needs to be fulfilled before the rapture happens.

2. The rise of the Antichrist. After the church is taken out of the way (2 Thessalonians 2:7–8), a satanically empowered man will gain worldwide control with promises of peace (Revelation 13:1; Daniel 9:27). He will be aided by another man, called the false prophet, who heads up a religious system that requires worship of the Antichrist (Revelation 19:20).

3. The tribulation. A period of seven years in which God’s judgment is poured out on sinful humanity (Revelation 6–16). The Antichrist’s rise to power is associated with this time period. During the tribulation on earth, the Church will be in heaven. It is thought that at this time the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will occur in heaven (2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 19:6–10).

The seven-year tribulation period is one of the most precisely documented events in all of biblical prophecy — and its precision is one of the strongest evidential arguments for the divine inspiration of Scripture available to any honest investigator. Daniel 9:24-27 establishes the framework with mathematical exactness: seventy weeks of years — 490 years total — are decreed for Daniel’s people and for the holy city. The first sixty-nine weeks — 483 years — are accounted for from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the arrival of the Messiah, a calculation that numerous scholars have shown lands with extraordinary precision on the period of Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The final week — seven years — remains to be fulfilled, separated from the sixty-nine by the current church age and awaiting the covenant that the Antichrist will confirm to begin its clock. The mathematical precision of Daniel’s seventy weeks is not an accident or an approximation — it is the signature of a God who writes history in advance with the specificity of an author who knows every chapter before the first word is written. 🔱 The tribulation period described across Daniel, Matthew 24, and the Book of Revelation is not primarily a theological abstraction or a subject for end times speculation — it is a specific, sequential, detailed series of events whose purpose is simultaneously judicial and redemptive. Judicial — because the bowl judgments of Revelation 16 represent the full, unrestrained expression of divine wrath against the system of human rebellion that has been building since Eden, a wrath that God’s patience has been holding back across millennia of human history and that the tribulation period finally releases in its complete form. Redemptive — because Revelation 7 reveals that an unnumbered multitude will come to faith during the tribulation, the greatest harvest of souls in human history occurring in the darkest period of human history, the grace of God reaching its maximum evangelistic expression at the exact moment that His wrath reaches its maximum judicial expression. The tribulation is not God losing control of history. It is God bringing the longest and most patient redemptive plan in the history of the universe to its appointed, precisely timed, sovereignly executed conclusion. 💬 Comment “MARANATHA” in the comments — the Aramaic prayer of the early Church meaning “Come, Lord Jesus,” preserved in 1 Corinthians 16:22 and Revelation 22:20 as the defining cry of a community living in the tension between the tribulation’s warning and the Kingdom’s promise — if you are living in the full awareness of what is coming and the full confidence of what comes after it, and you are choosing daily to orient your life not toward the seven years of tribulation but toward the King whose return ends them and whose Kingdom replaces them with something that has no ending. What are the seven seals, seven trumpets, and seven bowls in the Book of Revelation?

The seven seals (Revelation 6:1–17; 8:1–5), seven trumpets (Revelation 8:6–9:21; 11:15–19), and seven bowls/vials (Revelation 16:1–21) are three series of end-times judgments from God. The judgments get increasingly worse and more devastating as the end times progress. The seven seals, trumpets, and bowls are connected to one another. The seventh seal introduces the seven trumpets (Revelation 8:1–5), and the seventh trumpet introduces the seven bowls (Revelation 11:15–19; 15:1–8).

The seven seals include the appearance of the Antichrist (Revelation 6:1–2), great warfare (Revelation 6:3–4), famine (Revelation 6:5–6), plague (Revelation 6:7–8), the martyrdom of believers in Christ (Revelation 6:9–11), a devastating earthquake causing terrible devastation, and astronomical upheaval (Revelation 6:12–14). Those who survive the six seals are right to cry out, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” (Revelation 6:16–17).

The seventh seal introduces the seven trumpet judgments. The trumpets include hail and fire that destroy much of the plant life in the world (Revelation 8:7), the death of much of the world’s aquatic life (Revelation 8:8–9; 8:10–11), the darkening of the sun and moon (Revelation 8:12), a plague of “demonic locusts” that torture the unsaved (Revelation 9:1–11), and the march of a demonic army that kills a third of humanity (Revelation 9:12–21).

The seventh trumpet calls forth seven angels who carry the seven bowls of God’s wrath (Revelation 11:15–19; 15:1–8). The bowl judgments include painful sores afflicting humanity (Revelation 16:2), the death of every living thing in the sea (Revelation 16:3), the turning of rivers to blood (Revelation 16:4–7), an intensifying of the sun’s heat (Revelation 16:8–9), great darkness and an intensification of the sores from the first bowl (Revelation 16:10–11), the advance of the Antichrist’s armies at Armageddon (Revelation 16:12–14), and a devastating earthquake followed by giant hailstones (Revelation 16:15–21).

Together, the seals, trumpets, and bowls of the end times comprise “the great day of [God’s] wrath” (Revelation 6:17) and serve to judge the Antichrist’s kingdom of wickedness. Revelation 16:5–7 declares of God, “You are just in these judgments, you who are and who were, the Holy One, because you have so judged; for they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve. . . . Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments.”

First, we need to look at what each view teaches. Pre-tribulation-rapture is taught in most mainline Christian churches in the U.S., as well as protestant churches in Europe and Asia. It teaches that the rapture of the Church will occur before the 7-year Tribulation Age. The post-tribulation-rapture theory teaches that the rapture of the believers will happen after the 7-year Tribulation judgment age. It is taught by the Catholic cult and other Eastern Orthodox church cults, as well as some ancient protestant churches like Presbyterian and Baptist churches. However, they will not tell you that there won’t be anyone left on this earth to rapture, because most of the people will be dead. Satan does not want you to receive Jesus Christ into your heart now, but rather, the devil wants you to say to your heart, “I’ll just wait until all of these catastrophes upon the earth start to happen. Then, I’ll receive Christ.” But by that time, it will be too late. Do you see the deception of the devil?

He and his cult post-tribulation-rapture theory gives a false sense of complacency, but that is the dangerous trap. Satan will use his dead, fake religions and cults to spread this false doctrine throughout the world, especially during these End-Times, when Jesus’ return is so imminent. That is why post-tribulation-rapture teachings are from the pit of hell, and part of the devil’s End-Times deceit.
